Reflect

Build metacognition together

Reflection is how noticing turns into change. Choose your audience to see prompts that help students and the adults supporting them learn from each task.

Before the task: make the start visible

During the task: notice what is happening

After the task: learn from the process

How to ask these questions well

  • Ask with curiosity, not interrogation.
  • Choose one or two questions at a time.
  • Give students time to answer.
  • Reflect patterns together instead of jumping straight to correction.
  • Celebrate useful noticing, even when the task did not go perfectly.
